    Composer Biography

    Trish Clowes attend the Royal Academy of Music where she studied jazz with Iain Ballamy and Pete Churchill. After finishing at the Academy she continued to be mentored by Iain Ballamy as well as taking lessons with the composer Hans Koller.

    In 2008 she won a Development Award from the Musicians Benevolent Fund and she is BBC Radio 3’s New Generation Jazz Artist 2012-14 - the first woman to be given the role.
