CELEBRATING THE ART OF CONTEPORARY MUSIC COMPOSITION

PARTNERS

BASCA and the British Composer Awards is extremely grateful to the following organisations who have supported or partnered with us to help promote new contemporary classical and jazz composition:

Making Music

Making Music is the UK's number one organisation for voluntary music. It thrives on encouraging all kinds of voluntary music groups – bands, festivals, orchestras, music clubs, choirs – and individuals, to be part of the vibrant multi-cultural music scene.

Making Music offers local support through a team of Regional Managers in six English regions and Development Managers in Scotland and Wales. They have a dedicated Concert Promoters Group that supports the music promoting groups within the Making Music membership. They also lobby on behalf of their members, getting their voice heard in the right political circles and promoting the interests of the voluntary music sector.

The PRS for Music Foundation

The PRS for Music Foundation (PRSF) is the UK's leading independent funder of new music across all genres.  Widely respected as an adventurous and proactive funding body, the Foundation supports an exceptional range of new music activity - from unsigned band showcases to composer residences, from commissions for new music to experimental live electronica.  Since March 2000 PRSF has given more than £13.5 million to over 4,000 new music initiatives.

Worshipful Company of Musicians

The Musicians’ Company encourages and promotes musical performance and education to the highest professional standards and particularly supports young musicians.

With its roots in an ancient craft guild, the Musicians’ Company is the only City of London Livery Company devoted to the performing arts. Members, known as Liverymen, are performers, composers, instrument makers, teachers, administrators and music lovers.
